My work stems from the historical events of the Indigenous Onkwehonwe (the original People) and Canada. The genocidal tactics of Canada and its churches have now been in the light for some time and my People will never know and understand true, authentic truth and reconciliation. Nothing will change the fact that residential schools in Canada are murdering crime scenes. Children are not meant to be buried and forgotten about, at any form of school. I am Onondaga Nation, Beaver Clan of the Haudenosaunee, Grand River Territory and I am alive because my mother SURVIVED.
